Bar line extrusion systems
Our extrusion lines stand out for their solid construction and flexibility of use.
Fastosi Rod Extrusion Lines
Fastosi rod extrusion lines represent the state of the art in the production of circular-section semi-finished products. All our extrusion lines are designed for the extrusion of solid and/or hollow rods with variable diameters depending on the chosen die configuration, achieving an hourly output of up to 40/50 kg.
Teflon and lapped calibrators are available in sizes ranging from 5 mm up to 300 mm (from 0.25” up to 12”).
In addition to standard lines, configurations can be customized by combining different types of extruders and haul-offs, as well as adding optional accessories such as in-line annealing ovens, cutters, tilting units, and more—all tailored to the customer’s actual requirements.
Furthermore, thanks to our specially designed internal calibrators, our rod-dedicated lines allow for the extrusion of hollow rods (tubes). Wall thicknesses typically start from approximately 10 mm upward.
Our extrusion technology is specifically engineered to process rods made from high-density, high-rigidity materials such as POM-C, POM-H, PA6, PA66, and PA12, which are widely used in the manufacture of mechanical components.
For applications requiring extreme thermal resistance and high mechanical loads, our lines produce rods in PEEK, ULTEM, PEI, PPS, and PBT with tight tolerances. Our capabilities also extend to processing amorphous and transparent polymers such as PC (Polycarbonate) and PSU, as well as structural polymers like PET, PP, and PE.
A special focus is dedicated to the extrusion of rods in fluoropolymers and high chemical resistance materials such as PVDF, PFA, ECTFE, and PCTFE, designed for aggressive industrial environments.
All materials can be filled and reinforced with glass fibers, carbon fibers, Teflon, graphite, and many other additives.
